I am actually posting his obituary on Sunday! :)
How did you get the information on Michael M.? I went to Sioux Rapids, IA (where he lived) and tried to find a gravestone there but wasn’t able to.ReplyCancel

Michael M., was actually living in Tonganoxie, KS at the time of his death, according to the short obituary in the paper. His wife Nancy Ann, went on to live with her son, Isaiah, who at the time of her death lived in Sioux Rapids, IA. I met, by chance, with the overseer of the Tonganoxie cemetery, who had also went to school with my father, gave me a listing of everbody buried in that plot. Included is a Nick, with no recorded dates.ReplyCancel

Thanks Larry! I don’t think I have the older Michael’s obit (although I have a stack of papers that needs to be entered into my computer so it’s possible). I didn’t realize that they were also living in Tonganoxie at the time of his death. I wonder who Nick was.ReplyCancel
