A Postcard from Barbados

I am not exactly sure who sent or received this postcard, but I know that it was on my (step) grandpa’s side of the family.

My mom remembers that one of Edward Thompson’s relatives was named “Cap” Anderson {I believe the Cap was for Captain}.  I’m assuming that this was from him.

Here is a picture of the Public Building and Chamberlain Bridge, Barbados.  The postcard was sent in 1918.

What a beautiful vintage postcard. As a blogger who’s shared many century-year old postcards as I’ve traced my grandparents’ relationship (my grandfather was in America and desperately trying to convince my grandmother to join him) and the cards they sent each other, I so enjoy seeing this one from this side of the Atlantic.ReplyCancel
