Eric – thanks for the comment! Glad to hear from someone that still lives there. I was so sad to see that the downtown was so deserted, but it’s like that in many small towns these days. It could be so quaint if it was fixed up a bit.

I’ve lived in Hedrick for a little over ten years now not very many people hear but people do live in those “old buildings” the bank and one of my friend own the old locker/food store but the roof fell in needs a fixin and that’s my ran on sentence.

Looks like people are living in some of these old buildings, no? I love old buildings! I sweat I can feel their stories & their aches & pains…just want to fix them up…restore them

Great idea for a Those Places Thursday. Next week, I will post my two ghost towns- one is quite near yours in Zero, Iowa.
