What a wonderful adventure and great find.
Now you have to find out who the caretaker
is -- a new cousin perhaps? So many old
cemeteries are overgrown and intended. Even
ones attached to or near churches. The Crete
cemetery in Crete, Illinois is one example.
When I was there 25 years ago my 3rd great-
grandparents grave marker was clearly visible
and level with the ground. Now all that can
be seen is several letters of Clarissa Keeney's
name (ISSA) and nothing of her husband nor
their birth/death dates. Sad.
