Sounds like quite an adventure!! Can't wait to hear about all your successes when you get back! I just live down the river from Clark County (Vanderburgh) and its a good place to end that journey.

Welcome to geneabloggers! Love the way your site is laid out.

I see that you are going to come to Kansas! I live quite a ways from where you are going to be, but I just wanted to weigh in that when you go to Leavenworth, if stopping at the National Cemetery isn't already on your itinerary, I hope you can add it in. It is a Beautiful cemetery, huge rolling hills and hundred year old trees. It's a beautiful site, and even your children would benefit from this historic site.

There are 'trail ruts' to be seen there, too, and I apologize for not remembering for sure, but I believe it's the Oregon Trail ruts that you can see crossing the river there.

And I'm sure that you've scheduled a stop at the Midwest Genealogy and History Center in Independence, MO as well! Lots of info, and Wonderful volunteers there!

Have a Great trip! I'm envious!
